"I'm a nursing student and wanted to invest in a good pair of scissors for work. These are really nice and are pretty durable. Unfortunately, after having them for only a day, some of the paint is chipping off one of the handles. Also, they offer a student/professionals discount that I wasn't aware of before I ordered these. Not their fault, but putting it here so others don't have to miss out on it like I did."

Raptor Rescue is better
"This is marketed as a smaller, thinner, lighter version of the Raptor Rescue. The marketing says the trade off is you lose some features like the seatbelt/boot cutter. The reality is the Raptor Response is about the same weight(.02 ounces lighter), thicker, and there is no case option for this unit over the Raptor Rescue. So not only is it dimensionally thicker and no case but you also lose some capability. The only good thing I have to say is it does have the lanyard retention point right in the handle which makes for tip down carry easy. Honestly I would give this a better review if I did not feel lied to by marketing saying it is a scaled down version of the Rescue. It isn't. I own both the rescue, this and SOG Parashears. The case is better on the rescue along with their lock up but the Parashears are thinner, lighter, and easier to manipulate with gloves. The Parashears also come with quite a few other features that Leatherman does not offer on their shears."

Not what I expected.
"I bought this as a supposed streamline smaller easier carry raptor and was kinda let down. It doesn’t seem like it’s built as well as the regular raptor and it is thicker and shorter. The tolerances also are not as tight as the normal raptor. Probably still a good tool but it won’t be my primary. It will probably live in my turnouts. Stick with the original raptor."
