Great MT
While I've carried multitools on my belt for almost 25 years, this is my first foray into Leatherman products - specifically because the free series solved my largest gripe: one-handed operation. I was skeptical about the use of magnets, but I am pleasantly surprised that they are strong enough to keep everything locked up without being so strong that it takes excessive force to break the magnetic pull.
The Arc definitely needs some breaking in, and the action on the blade is incredibly tight, but I have no doubt that this will solve itself in time. Of any multitool that I have carried, the fidget-factor is high. Breaking it in does not feel like a chore. I feel the tool set is as good as it gets from the available Leatherman products, as well as my use-case. I can see myself carrying this tool on my belt for a very, very long time.
On the negative side, I am not a fan that it did not come with the T6/T8 bit in the bit kit, that the included nylon sheath has so much slack in the flap that it risks getting caught on things I brush up against, and that the frame has sharp edges when the unit is closed. Makes actions like sawing uncomfortable if not downright painful without gloves. I would like to see a slight bevel on the edges of the frame when closed. The edges of the frame when the pliers are open are nice and rounded. Still, none of these things are deal breakers in the slightest.
