"The charge is a very high quality tool. I use mine for bass fishing. Heck, the pliers cut line better then tools made to cut line do. Comes a little stiff. But loosens up very fast. Closes well. I expected her to be heavy and uncomfortable. But no, it’s very comfortable and I don’t even realize it’s in my shorts/pants"
"I've been a fan of Leatherman's darn near since they came out in the early 80's. I've lost track of how many I've owned over the years. One of my more recent purchases was the Charge+ and overall, it has lived up to its namesake. The ONLY issue I have is with the large bit driver retention spring/tab. I've had the Charge+ for about a year and a half and the retention spring has been an issue since day one. It likes to work itself out of its slot and has never done a "good" job of retaining the bits. The design of the bit retention device on my Skeletool is much better. I realize that the one on the Skeletool doesn't have to fold like the one on the Charge+ but, Leatherman, I'm pretty sure your engineers could come up with something better. I just ordered a couple of those retentions springs because the one I have finally broke. Would've been 5 stars if not for this darn retention spring."
"Broke the pliers trying to bend a very thin piece of metal and these are given to Marines that are going on deployment if the situation depended on its use in the field it would get someone killed"
"I have had this multi-tool for 5+ years and still absolutely love it. Best tool I have owned. The only problem I have run into is a broken can opener, it broke while I was trying to tap a keg, which is was not designed for so I can’t get upset, otherwise this has been the best tool I have ever owned."

"I worn a Leatherman for the past 20 years. I’m a professional sailor, and it is an indispensable tool. Sometimes they don’t get design right. My initial charge had a design defect that would jam the whole holding mechanism up. If you didn’t do it exactly right. Was a nightmare loaning it out to somebody and get it back jammed up. They finally address this. I’ve sent a couple of emails to Leatherman regarding the pitch points on the charge. they could probably figure out a way to alleviate this design defect. When you use the tool normally it’s very easy to get your thumb jammed into a pinch point between the folding mechanism. Other than that, excellent company."
"This tool exceeds my (already high) expectations for Leatherman tools. The fit and finish are flawless and the functionality is intuitive and smooth. The aesthetics are excellent as well with a black oxide finish and black aluminum handles, the image I asked for on the side looks exceptional (a velociraptor, in case you were wondering). The Molle sheath that comes with the tool is perfectly functional but I opted for an Ainsworth leather one for EDC. Despite some grumbling online, the sheath also exceeds my expectations and both will last a very very long time. LTG invented the multi-tool market and decades later still dominates as the premier producer of same. I have never paid more for a tool and never been happier."
"So I splurged (no particular reason). I've owned and used literally a dozen Leatherman products over the years. Thought I go for a "deluxe" one. Picked the charge (with AL handles) in black. The black oxide is well done and there isn't too much "dust". Also they clearly oiled it and tested it before sending it to me. Got the ainsworth pouch for it in addition and decided to have a nice "stock" dinosaur on the side. It's absolutely awesome in every regard. Probably won't be my last leatherman but my last for a little while. Can't wait to field test it."
"Bought a Charge about 10 years ago and have used it more times than I can remember. It has always stood up to any challenge I've put it through and I've not babied it. I like that it is a full sized multi-tool and came with a number of extra bits. If you're looking for a full sized top quality multi-tool look no farther this is it."
